The year 2021 is one of milestones. We are celebrating 10 years of Vibe Group and in this last decade, we have been very busy. Busy growing, challenging ourselves and creating futures. And our hard work has paid off: this week we have reached the milestone of 1000th active IT- and data professional currently working on an interim or consulting base at one of our clients. An achievement that needs to be celebrated. The honour of being number 1000 was for René Vroemen, a CRM specialist whose first encounter with Vibe Group was in 2018.
Nick Visscher (Senior Team Manager at Eswelt) and Jaime van Heusden (Consultant at Eswelt) invited René to our Amsterdam office. With a bottle of the finest champaign and a nice bouquet of flowers in hand, they welcomed him back to the office where he had his first interview back in 2018.
“I think it was in October of 2018 that I first got in contact with Vibe Group”, says René. “I was subscribed to a website for freelancers and got an e-mail with an interesting offer. Eswelt was searching for a CRM professional for 36 to 40 hours a week. Although I only had 2 or 3 days a week available, I responded. Unfortunately, the client really needed a fulltime CRM professional. Around two months later I got an unexpected call: the party in question was still very interested in me, so Nick from Eswelt asked me to come in for a coffee and talk about it. A few weeks later started at AFM as an CRM consultant.” René turned out to be a great asset at AFM, as his contract got prolonged from the initial 3 months to 26 months. According to René, this all comes down to finding the right match.
“It is very hard to make a perfect match between a professional and a client because it takes time to really get to know someone. Something Eswelt does really well, is that they are constantly in contact with both parties. They are present during the first interview that the professional has with the client, but they also keep in touch throughout the duration of the contract. This ensures mutual trust: something that, for me, was there from the beginning with Vibe Group.”
After his first job via Eswelt at AFM, René currently is contracted for Ambaflex. This company too turned out to be a good fit. “I believe that is the way Vibe Group has made the most impact for me: as a freelancer, it takes a lot of time to build and maintain your network. With Eswelt, acquisition was done for me and I could trust them on finding a match for me.” As for drive, René can relate to the Vibe DNA perfectly. “What can I say, I love my job! As a freelancer I allow myself 30 days of vacation. Reality is that I only took three last year, just because I love what I do.”
